The Tapir

This is it, this is it...Almost!
Wednesday, April 30, 2008 10:51 PM

If I say anticipation kills, I'm not kidding, nor am I exaggerating. Ask any Liverpool fans right now, Siew Mee for one.

Why do football effect me this much, I have NO freaking idea. Hell, I can't even have a peaceful nap ok? I dreamt about watching the match tonight and it was a long dream but everything kind of happened in a blur. But, I did wake up grinning. So, I'm taking it as a good sign.

I'm already at Siew Mee's place and waiting for Aaron to come over at 1 something and we'll get beers at 7-Eleven(no, we are not drinking ourselves senseless, but since Carlsberg is part of the game, so yeah. Heheh.), and then park ourselves at Infasha early. We want a NICE spot! And oh yeah, Aaron is not a football fan or whatsoever, quote him, "I play football game on PS2(what's with guys and that thing?), but I never watch football." But then when he saw how Sheelaa, Siew Mee and I are all pumped up for the match, he said he's tagging along. Quoting him again, "Just to see how tense can it be, and don't worry, I'll video it." So, he's there for the show but not for the match.

Now, lads, we can do it! No matter what, You'll Never Walk Alone! Let's make another history in this 90 minutes!(or more if it gets to extra time la) I'm assuming that, the traveling Kop is bringing all the banners for Liam to the Bridge so, let's do something great for the lad and hopefully he'll still be with us in Moscow!

One way or another
9:55 AM

The Mancs beat Barca.(clicky!) Oh wheee, so they are in the finals. I 'oh wheee' not because I'm happy for them, but because we Reds have been waiting for a Mancs showdown on a NEUTRAL ground with a NEUTRAL referee. Reasons being so obvious and I don't need to get into it. Reds fans, you know I know la righttt?

But before we get ahead of ourselves, we need to settle Chitshit at the Bridge 1st. Damn, I'm having trouble breathing again! No wonder I can't concentrate, all I think of nowadays is that match.

Anyways, one way or another, it's going to be an all English finals. With proper refereeing that is. For some reason, if we are not in the finals(TOUCH WOOD), I find the prospect of 2 English teams in CL finals boring.

Instructions: Remove one question from below, add in one of your own(personal), to make a total of 20. Tag 10 people in your list in the end of this post. Notify them.

Got tagged by Siew Mee and I'm NOT allowed to not do it, so here goes.

1. What's your current annoyance?
Not being able to concentrate and finals start in less than 2 weeks.

2. If you were to be stranded on a deserted island, who are the 3 blog buddies you'd take and why?
Mi hermano Chris, Siew Mee and Carmen.

3. Where is the place that you want to go the most?
Anfield, Liverpool. Like DUH.

4. If you can have 1 dream come true, what would it be?
At the moment? To be able to get a freaking room in Genting for TC5 Concert!

5. Dreaming your dreams into reality. Is it possible? (My question)
YES.

6. What are you afraid to lose the most?
My parents and my brother.

7. If you win $ 1 Million, what would you do?
Get my parents to retire now and pay for their trip around China. Treat my brother, Wunnie, Shan, Gordon, Sara, Siew Mee, and Sheelaa for a trip to Anfield! And sponsor myself to Model UN in Muenster, Germany! And use the remaining money for my gap year after graduation. Yay! Spain here I come!

8. If you meet someone that you love, would you confess to him/her?
Probably no.

9. List out 3 good points of the person who tagged you?

14. What do you think is the most important thing in your life?
My dreams.

15. If there's ever a war(or things that are similar) happening in your place, are you going to move to a safer place, or fight?

Trust people too easily, not being able to tell people off when I'm pissed.

17. Who is the person that you can share all your problems with?
Mummy.

18. What's your weakest point?
Forgive but not forget doesn't seem to apply to me. I forgive and forget. In short, I never learn my lesson.

19. What's the thing that you're most proud of?
Told him and that psychotic girlfriend of his off.

20. What is the one thing you regret most?
Trusted that bastard.

Uhm, I tag Chris, Pei Ru, Carmen, Sylvia, Vern and whoever feel like being tagged.

A mountain between us and Moscow
8:45 PM

Normally, I would prefer to stir clear of build-ups before big matches. But, I have to say that I failed miserably most of the time. Yeah, I'm close to hyperventilating whenever I think about the match on Thursday morning. Do not be surprised if I drop dead doing this post due to breathing difficulty.

So, the tie is not at our advantage, but as Gerry put it, it's only a mole mountain to climb compared to the Everest of Istanbul. (Clicky!) And yeah, Chelshit can hand out their plastic flags but the traveling Kop will tear the bridge down any given day, let alone a match like this with so much at stake.

Come on you Red men!!

p.s: Maybe Skrtel can do an Agger like last season? Oh, here's an Agger interview in a Danish newspaper translated by Maria in Livejournal. A very open interview from our very much missed defender talking about his injury.

Do I Look Dumb?
7:48 PM

So, went for supper at Subaidah with Siew Mee and Aaron on Sunday night. And this Indonesian waiter came up to take our order.

Me: Soto ada?(it's not in the menu but since I miss it so much so I asked la, no harm what)
Waiter: Tak ada.
Me: ok, mi rebus.
Waiter: Mi rebus pun tak ada. (this is in the menu ok?)

At this point of the time, he took the menu from us and crossed out various sections in the menu and goes "ini tak adak, in tak adak, ini tadak, ini pun tadak" Since everything also tak ada, so I decided stick to my normal mee goreng mamak.

Waiter: Mee goreng ada banyak. ada mee goreng ayam, mee goreng pattaya, mee goreng "chotong"
Me: Mee goreng 'sotong'?
Waiter: Ya, "chotong".

3 of us were laughing our asses off already. I like sotong so I was thinking of ordering that, but since I'm not sure that "chotong" and "sotong" is the same thing, so I still stick to my mee goreng mamak. And then after he took all our order, it's expected that he leave and get our order to the kitchen right? Nope, he looked at me and asked me this question.

Waiter: tahu apa itu "chotong"?

I was like "wth, what kinda question is that?! But anyways, my parents always teach me to be polite so I answered.

Me: Ya.

So, there. He got his answer, so he is EXPECTED to leave and get the damn order to the kitchen rightttt? righhhttt? NOPE.

He goes, "Apa itu 'chotong'?"

Eh, negara saya cakap 'sotong', saya tak tau negara kau cakap 'chotong' ke apa. GET MY DAMN ORDER TO THE KITCHEN FOR PETE'S SAKE!

After all the chotong and sotong drama, my food turned out yucky. But he gave us 50 cents discount. Whatever.

The Dramatic Gran Premio De Espana!
Monday, April 28, 2008 1:10 AM

Another win for Kimi at Catalunya. (clicky!) With Hammy finishing in 3rd, that means Kimi is leading the drivers' championship with a 9 points cushion! Yeay! Looking back at this point of time in the previous, I have to say that Kimi's start to this season has been relatively good. *hands touching my wooden desk while typing* *phew*

Dramatic is the world to describe the first GP in Europe this season. The drama started from Qualifying itself with Fernando Alonso, the ill-treated former World Champion at McLaren last season, but who is now back playing 'happy family' with Renault qualified in #2, a best for the team and the driver so far.

The logical explanation - The engineers did something with the car during the 3 weeks window and it works so it paid off.
The a little bit logical explanation - Fernando pulled off a miracle in his beloved home country for the home crowd. Ohh wheee!
The wtf explanation - He somehow stole Ferrari's engine for the qualifying. Hehheh.

And the drama continues during the race just a few hours ago, with only 13 out of 22 cars managed to complete the race. The mother of all dramas being Heikki Kovalainen's disastrous accident at Turn 9 due to suspected punctured front left tyre which saw him rammed and buried deep into the tyre wall. (clicky!) He was ok nonetheless, waving and giving thumb-ups to the crowd as he was being stretched away. Quote my brother, "Siao kia(translation: nut case)! Accident until like this still can wave!"

But my personal mother of all dramas is Kimi's new haircut. A-la Lewis Hamilton! No kidding.

B4 - Ice-man Now - bad-ass

Great. Suits all his "go to hell hand gestures" on the track.

Oh and by the way, I'm so dead. I've only done revising 2 pages of my Spanish notes the entire day. God knows what I was doing. So, if Pepe(no, the lecturer's name is Joel but from certain angel he does look a bit like Pepe) ask me something which I won't be able to answer in Spanish, I'll answer in English and go "No se, va reverso.net!" (translation: I don't know, you go reverso.net!)

It's high time to start blogging!
Sunday, April 27, 2008 6:15 PM

Yay! I've decided to start blogging and I INTEND to keep it. (read: I intended, I don't know what will happen 3 months down the road) God knows how many blogs I've created and left it to death in the past.

The reasons:
1) It's just the thing to do. I mean it's THE thing, no?

2) It's very likely that I'm going to get that Indian bugger as my lecturer AGAIN next semester and I need a place to rant. If not I will explode from high blood pressure or something. And also I need a good place to rant when the lads are all playing like Voronin. Yeah, we so don't dream of a team of Voronins. (No offence to your song Carra xD)

3) My brother has a blog called "Pow! Wow! Shots" (what kind of a name is that? xP) it gives me the urge to start writing.

4) Even the politicians from our 'beloved' ruling party have embarked on the road of blogging, how can I be left behind? Yeah, the very same bunch of them who looked at politicians from the oppositions like some idiots when they try to use blogging to reach out to the voters since their access and exposure from main stream media is restricted. So, when Jeff Ooi went on and won the MP seat for Jelutong, I bet those idiots from Barisan National were banging their heads on the wall. Serves them right.

But, most of all it's because it's only 40 days to go until I go for my first ever headlining concert! So, I can foresee that I need a place for me to go on and on and on about the concert before and especially after. Yay! Can't wait cant wait!

Anyhoos, right now it's back to reality. There's a stupid oral and listening test for my Spanish class tomorrow so it's study time! As much as I hate the lecturer, (seriously, anyone, I mean anyone who can speak Spanish teaches better than him) I shall put my heart and soul into studying it to ensure that I'll be able to communicate with Rafa in the near future. I so need to learn how to say "Sell Voronin por favor".

Having all that said, let's see where my blog is 3 months down the road. Heheh. Hey, I used to be able to write 10 diaries in less than one year k! But of course, that was before I need to learn how to embed links, media, upload pictures, customize the page and all these shites all these wonderful features. I know I'm dumb when it comes to stuff like this. So, bear with me if my page looks BORINK until I get these all figured out. Sigh, those were the days where only a pen and a simple note book is needed.
